Chicken Lollipops with Salad

The recipe for chicken lollipops with Del Monte® Country Salad is a very tasty and fun preparation. Excellent for a children's party or for a lunch for the little ones at home. It's a snack shaped like a reindeer, which is perfect for your Christmas dinners.

  • 1 can Del Monte® peasant salad, 400 g
  • 400 grams chicken breast, ground
  • 1/2 onions, finely chopped
  • 150 grams flour
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 cups cow's milk
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 1 pinch ground pepper
  • 10 pretzels
  • 1 onion, cut into small cubes to form the eyes
  • 1 red bell pepper

  • Melt the butter in a skillet over low heat, add the onion, and when it becomes transparent, add the chicken. Fry until the chicken is golden.
  • Add the flour to the preparation (all at once) and mix immediately; once well incorporated, gradually add the milk. Season and let the preparation dry, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Pour this dough into a blender and blend, allow the preparation to cool and set aside.
  • Drain the Del Monte® Country Salad to remove all the liquid. Mix the salad with the previous preparation.
  • Shape balls the size of a ping-pong ball. Insert the sticks into the chicken balls, fry in hot oil, making sure they don't burn. Place the balls on paper to absorb the excess oil.
  • Decorate the fried balls with the pretzels, these will be the antlers. Use the onion to form the eyes and the peppers to form the nose.
