Fish Nuggets with Orange

Try this fish nugget recipe with a hint of orange thanks to Smucker’s®, as it is an ideal dish for the little ones at home and a great way for them to try different flavors; they will love it!

  • 2 tablespoons Smucker's® orange marmalade
  • 2 cups white fish, cooked and shredded
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups parsley , finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • salt

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs, for breading
  • 1/2 cups corn flakes, corn, crushed, for breading
  • 2 eggs , batter, for breading
  • 1 cup flour , for breading
  • vegetable oil , for frying
  • 1/4 cups Smucker's® orange marmalade, for the sauce
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, sugar-free, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar, for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice , for the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dill, for the sauce

  • Mix the shredded white fish with the onion, parsley, garlic powder, rice vinegar, ketchup, and Smucker’s® Orange Marmalade in a bowl, then season with salt and pepper and combine until you have a uniform mixture.
  • Take portions the size of a ping-pong ball and shape small oval croquettes using your clean hands. Freeze for 10 minutes so the fish nuggets hold their shape.
  • Mix the breadcrumbs and corn cereal in a medium bowl. Set aside.
  • Dip the nuggets in flour, then coat with egg, cover with the bread and cereal mixture, and press lightly with your hands until fully coated.
  • Fry the croquettes in hot vegetable oil at medium heat, it will take between 3 to 5 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Repeat until all homemade nuggets are done. Set aside.
  • Prepare the sauce: mix the Greek yogurt with the white vinegar, lemon juice, dill, Smucker’s® Orange Marmalade, enough salt, and pepper in a bowl; you should obtain a uniform mixture.
  • Serve the fish nuggets and accompany with the orange sauce.
