Ideas for kids' lunches are more successful when they are creative. These ham and vegetable croquettes will be a great option if your kids don’t like sandwiches or if you want to prepare them the night before. To ensure a good consistency, we recommend adding more cheese if you notice the croquettes are too soft.
In a bowl, mash the potatoes until you achieve a semi-fine puree. Then add the carrot, zucchini, broccoli, egg, panela cheese, and ham. Season with salt and pepper.
With the help of your hands, form patties, flour them, dip in the egg, and bread them. Set aside.
Heat the oil over medium heat, fry the croquettes on both sides, and then place them on absorbent paper to remove excess grease.
On a baking paper and with the help of a small bowl, draw the face of the squirrel with your Maped® pen, then cut out the silhouette with the help of your Maped® scissors.
Place the paper template over the cheese and using your Maped® cutter, cut the cheese along the outline of the paper.
To form the eyes, cut the edges of the olives and with the help of a small cutter, cut the mouth and cheeks. To form the ears, cut two circles of ham and cut them in half.
Decorate the croquettes by forming the face with cheese, ham, olives, carrot, and insert the ears with toothpicks.
Serve in your Maped® Picnik accompanied by vegetables, ready to go.
