Rice toasts with hummus

Have fun making these delicious rice toast monsters with hummus, as you can add fruits and vegetables. Ask the little ones for help and this will be a lovely family experience.

  • 2 rice toast
  • 1 cup hummus
  • 1/2 cups cucumber, in slices
  • 1/2 nori
  • 3 olives, in halves
  • 1/8 cups cookies, star-shaped
  • 3 sandwich bread, without edges
  • 1/4 cups green bell pepper, in thin strips
  • 1/8 cups red bell pepper, in thin strips
  • corn flakes, honey, to accompany
  • mixed berries, to accompany
  • mini quesadillas, to accompany
  • Danonino®, to accompany

  • Spread the rice toasts with the hummus and set aside.
  • Cut the cucumbers into 6 medium triangles and 3 mini triangles and set aside. Cut the nori seaweed into circles for the eyes. Set aside.
  • Flatten the sandwich bread with a rolling pin and cut into 4 equal strips. Spread with hummus and join the strips to form a roll. Set aside.
  • To start forming the monsters: In a baking dish, add two of the rice toasts, on one of them add the triangles that will be the ears, a mini triangle that will be the nose, two seaweed eyes, and shape the mouth with green pepper. Add two olives for the hands. For the other monster: Add two rolls on top, two seaweed eyes, a mini triangle for the nose, and the mouth made of red pepper. Place two star-shaped pieces simulating the hands.
  • Serve the rice toasts with hummus alongside honey cereal, red fruits, mini quesadillas, and Danonino®.
