Rice with Mushrooms

Rice is a guaranteed hit among children from one year old and a very nutritious food.

  • 150 grams rice
  • 1 carrot
  • 50 grams button mushrooms
  • 50 grams pea
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 liter water
  • salt
  • saffron

  • Cook the peas in salted water
  • Put the rice in boiling salted water with a bit of saffron and add the carrot cut into very thin strips
  • Let it cook for about 20 minutes
  • In a pan with hot oil, sauté the sliced mushrooms
  • Drain the rice
  • Add the peas and the mushrooms, stir and serve.
