Traditional Margherita Pizza

  • 500 grams flour
  • 30 grams yeast
  • 1 cup water, hot
  • 250 grams Mozzarella cheese
  • 150 grams tomato purée
  • 1/2 cups olive oil
  • 2 tomatoes
  • leaves basil

  • Preheat the oven to 250ºC.
  • Mix the hot water with the yeast and make a volcano with the flour.
  • Incorporate the water into the flour, kneading it with your hands.
  • Add a pinch of salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  • Set the dough aside.
  • Sprinkle flour to roll out the dough and prevent it from sticking.
  • Cut the dough into a circular shape and prick the dough with a fork.
  • Spread the tomato puree over the dough.
  • Add the mozzarella cheese, olive oil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the pizza in a mold and put it in the oven for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the pizza, add slices of tomato, basil, olive oil, and put it in the oven for 2 more minutes.
