Breaded Panela Cheese with Granola

  • 1 cup Kellogg’S® granola ancestral grains; sunflower seeds, amaranth and raisins
  • 2 slices panela cheese
  • 1 egg
  • cooking spray
  • 1 cup tomatillo, washed
  • 1/2 cups fresh cilantro, washed and disinfected
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 1/4 onions
  • 2 tablespoons serrano chile
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • Crush the Kellogg's® Ancient Grains Granola; sunflower seeds, amaranth, and raisins in the processor.
  • Beat the egg and dip the slices of panela cheese in it, then coat them with Kellogg's® Ancient Grains Granola; sunflower seeds, amaranth, and raisins.
  • Spray a hot skillet with vegetable oil spray and cook the breaded slices of panela cheese.
  • For the sauce: in a blender, blend the tomatillo, cilantro, serrano chili, garlic, onion, and season with salt and pepper. Place a little oil in a pot and pour in the sauce. Cook it over medium heat for 10 minutes.
  • Serve the slices of panela cheese along with the sauce.
