Healthy Calabasetti

Calabasetti is a delicious option for pasta lovers and very healthy.

  • 5 zucchinis
  • 100 grams turkey deli ham
  • 100 grams Oaxaca cheese, shredded
  • 100 milliliters cream , low in fat
  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoons mustard
  • salt , and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon onion, finely chopped

  • Wash and disinfect the zucchinis
  • Shred into long, thin strips as if they were noodles.
  • Cook in boiling salted water for 5-10 minutes.
  • Drain.
  • In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and add the onion, adding a splash of olive oil to prevent the butter from burning.
  • Gradually add the cream.
  • Add the mustard and mix.
  • Add the Oaxaca cheese until melted, the ham, and season.
  • Serve the sauce over the zucchini spaghetti and add Parmesan cheese to taste.
