Mexican Chicken and Cheese Flautas

Make simple and appetizing chicken and cheese flautas. A different way to enjoy tortillas, served with spicy and colorful salsas.

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 onion
  • 2 leaves bay
  • 200 grams double cream cheese
  • salt , to taste
  • 16 corn tortillas
  • oil
  • pepper, to taste

  • Place the chicken, onion, and bay leaf in a pot with water. Bring to a boil and let cook for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken and let it cool slightly. Then, shred it with the help of a fork. You will obtain shreds of a uniform size.
  • In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with the double cream cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the tortillas on both sides in a dry skillet.
  • Fill with the chicken and cheese mixture and roll them up. Secure them with two toothpicks.
  • Fry them in hot oil until golden brown on all sides.
