Seared Tuna Salad with Pasta

This seared tuna salad with pasta recipe is for a complete meal. It includes the necessary portions for a healthy and delicious dish.

  • 2 slices tuna
  • 1 teaspoon granulated chicken bouillon
  • sabroseador (seasoning), Mc Cormick to taste
  • pinches salt, and pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 package black olives
  • 1 package short pasta, or Rigatoni
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • olive oil
  • 2 zucchinis
  • leaves lettuce

  • Cut the zucchini and tomatoes into cubes, chop the onion and garlic, and halve the olives.
  • In a Ziploc bag, add Mc Cormick seasoning, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of pepper. Close and shake. Season the tuna slices with this mixture.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil and place the tuna slices for 3 to 5 minutes on each side. This will achieve a seared finish without overcooking it.
  • In the same skillet, add more olive oil and sauté the garlic and onion until they are translucent. Add the vegetables until they soften a bit.
  • Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a pot of salted water for approximately 15 minutes. Check it constantly to ensure it reaches al dente (so it’s firm but not raw).
  • Place lettuce leaves in a bowl. Add the sautéed vegetable mixture to the bowl over the lettuce leaves. Add the pasta and gently mix.
  • Once the seared tuna is ready, cut it into cubes and add it to the mixture. Serve sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.
