Seco Peruano

A delicious dish from Peruvian cuisine. The recipe for seco peruano is delicious; it is an easy chicken preparation, ideal for adding variety to the dishes you commonly prepare at home.

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 kilos chicken
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 onions
  • 1 can beer
  • salt , to taste
  • 1/2 glasses water
  • cumin, to taste

  • Fry the chicken with 1 chopped garlic clove (the chicken will release its own fat, do not add oil).
  • Once the fried chicken is ready, add the potatoes with the carrots and salt.
  • Mix the other ingredients in the blender.
  • Blend 1/2 onion with cilantro, 1 garlic clove, salt (to taste), and 1/2 can of beer.
  • Once blended, add it to the pot, then pour in the other half of the beer with a pinch of cumin.
  • It will dry out a bit; add 1/2 cup of water so it has a little broth.
