Chicken Meatballs stuffed with Ham and Cheese

To give a twist to traditional meatballs, we present this recipe for Chicken Meatballs stuffed with Ham and Cheese that you can serve with tomato sauce. This homemade recipe is ideal for when your children refuse to eat vegetables, as you can roast the vegetables in the oven so that when you blend them, the flavor is perfect. This kid-friendly recipe can be served with white rice.

  • 400 grams ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon ground garlic
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 slices turkey ham Fud® care-t +
  • 2 slices Fud® Cuida-T+ manchego cheese slice, cut into cubes
  • 4 tomatoes, quartered
  • 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 white onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, with skin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • coarse salt
  • black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • parsley, finely chopped, for garnish

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • For the meatballs, in a bowl mix the ground chicken with garlic and onion powder, parsley, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
  • Using your hands, form the meatballs and stuff them with turkey ham and round slices of FUD® Cuida-t+ cheese. Set aside.
  • Place the tomato, carrot, bell pepper, onion, and garlic on a baking tray and drizzle with olive oil. Season with coarse salt, black pepper, and bake for 20 minutes or until the vegetables are softened.
  • Once the vegetables are roasted, blend them with chicken broth and oregano until you achieve a smooth sauce. Set aside.
  • In a pot over medium heat, heat the oil and fry the meatballs until golden. Add the sauce and cook over low heat until the meatballs are cooked and the sauce thickens. Serve with chopped parsley.
