Chicken Meatballs with Pesto

  • 700 grams ground chicken, for the meatballs
  • 1/4 cups Barilla® Pesto Sauce, 190 g, for the meatballs
  • 1 egg yolk, for the meatballs
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder, for the meatballs
  • 1/4 cups breadcrumbs, for the meatballs
  • salt, for the meatballs
  • pepper, for the meatballs
  • olive oil, for the meatballs
  • 1 jar Barilla® Pesto Sauce, 190 g, for the sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups whipping cream, for the sauce
  • 1/3 cups white wine
  • basil, for garnish
  • Parmesan cheese, in slices, for garnish
  • Spaghetti Barilla®, for serving

  • Mix the ground chicken, Barilla® Pesto Sauce, the egg yolk, garlic, and breadcrumbs in a bowl, then season with salt and pepper. Mix with a spoon until all ingredients are combined.
  • Form medium-sized chicken meatballs, approximately 80 grams each. Set aside.
  • Blend the heavy cream and Barilla® Pesto Sauce until you achieve a smooth and homogeneous consistency. Set aside.
  • Add a little olive oil to a skillet or saucepan and cook the meatballs until they are golden brown, then pour the creamy sauce over the chicken meatballs, cover, and cook on low heat for 10 minutes. After the cooking time, add the white wine, cook for 3 more minutes, and remove from heat.
  • Serve the chicken meatballs with pesto with a touch of parmesan cheese, accompanied by Barilla® spaghetti with butter, and garnished with basil.
