Oriental Chicken with Broccoli

  • 1.5 cups broccoli, blanched
  • 1.5 kilos chicken breast, in cubes, clean, boneless, and skinless
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • 1 teaspoon carrot, in julienne
  • 3 cups green bell pepper, in julienne
  • 1 cup red onion, in julienne
  • 1 cup button mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 pinches salt and pepper, for the sauce
  • 1 lime zest
  • 1 cup soy sauce, for the sauce
  • 3/4 cups orange juice, for the sauce

  • Heat a little oil in a large skillet, then add the chicken cubes and sear for 3 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic, toasted sesame oil, finely chopped ginger, and mix very well, then incorporate the sugar and cook for 3 more minutes to caramelize the chicken.
  • Add the red onion, carrot, and green pepper to the skillet, cook for 2 minutes.
  • After 2 minutes, add the lemon zest, mushrooms, bean sprouts, and finally, the blanched broccoli.
  • Mix all the ingredients perfectly and incorporate soy sauce and orange juice.
  • Cook the oriental chicken with broccoli for 3 minutes, season, and serve hot.
