Pipián Verde with Tortillinas®

Delicious Pipián Verde served in Tía Rosa® flour Tortillinas®. This Mexican recipe is very rich, simple to make, and very flavorful. It is an easy chicken recipe that will help you add variety to the homemade dishes you cook for your family.

  • 1 package Tía Rosa® Tortillinas® precooked floured tortillas
  • 1 cup pumpkin seeds, of pumpkin
  • 900 grams tomatillo
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 onion, in quarters
  • 2 serrano chiles
  • 1 teaspoon corn oil
  • 1 leaf bay
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bullion
  • 1 kilo chicken drumstick, and thighs, cooked

  • Toast the pumpkin seeds.
  • Blend the tomatillos, garlic, onion, pumpkin seeds, and serrano chiles.
  • Heat the oil, fry the sauce, add the bay leaf, and season with chicken broth.
  • Coat the cooked chicken with the pipián.
