There are many types of garnachas, but very few are as traditional as huaraches. This elongated tortilla is slightly thicker, filled with beans, and sprinkled with onion and cheese.   • 1 cup corn flour
  • 1/2 cups water, warm
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • lard
  • 1 1/2 cups refried beans
  • green salsa
  • red salsa
  • onion
  • grated cheese
  • Sidral Mundet® Apple flavor

  • In a bowl, mix the corn flour, water, and salt until a dough forms. If you need more water, you can add it until you achieve the right consistency.
  • Form small balls of dough, place them between 2 pieces of plastic, and press to shape the huarache. Cook it on a griddle with a little lard for 3 minutes on each side or until ready.
  • Once the huarache is ready, spread with beans, add green sauce on one side and red sauce on the other, sprinkle with onion and cheese, and serve with Sidral Mundet® Apple flavor.
