Lemon Bell Peppers

A very simple recipe for those who love spicy food but don't want to use canned chiles or want to make their own at home. You will love them; they are delicious and look very nice, perfect for accompanying your Mexican snacks or meals.

  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 2 yellow bell peppers
  • salt, to taste
  • 1/2 cups lime juice
  • 2 leaves dried bay

  • The first step is to clean the chiles to reduce their spiciness, but if you prefer, just chop them. To remove the heat, you should take out the seeds and veins; remember to wear gloves. You can chop them however you like, either into small cubes or strips.
  • Put salt, lemon juice, bay leaves, and chiles in a glass dish and let them sit for 20 minutes, and you can eat them ;) the spiciness and flavor will also be in the lemon juice, and the longer you leave the chiles in the lemon, the milder they will be.
