Milanesa sandwich recipe

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon cilantro, dehydrated, ground
  • salt

  • 4 beef cutlets
  • vegetable oil
  • 2 red beefsteak tomatoes
  • 1/2 onions
  • 1 avocado
  • 4 telera rolls
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1 cup Manchego cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 cup mustard
  • Chiles in Vinegar

  • Place the flour on a flat plate and set aside. Combine the milk with the egg in a bowl and set aside. Mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, cilantro, salt, and pepper in a bowl and set aside.
  • Coat the milanesas in flour, then dip them in milk, and finally coat them in breadcrumbs.
  • Fry the milanesas in a pan with enough oil over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Once cooked, remove from the oil and place on a plate lined with paper towels.
  • Slice the tomato, onion, and avocado. Set aside.
  • Cut the telera in half, spread one side with mayonnaise and the other with mustard. Add the beans, a milanesa, cheese, tomato, onion, and avocado. Close it up, place it on a plate, and serve with jalapeños.
