Wire Bread with Cheese

The classic cheese wire recipe is surpassed by this one, as this time the meat serves as filling for a delicious golden dough ring. To ensure the dough is perfect, remember to let it rest before rolling it out, and once you have everything ready, don't forget to prepare pico de gallo and guacamole to accompany it. This cooking recipe is much more than just a simple beef wire, and you will love it.

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • For the dough, in a bowl, beat the flour with the butter, the yolk, the manchego cheese, the salt, the REXAL® baking powder, and the water until you have a homogeneous dough. Refrigerate covered for 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until golden, then add the onion and garlic, and cook until shiny. Add the steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until it starts to release its juices.
  • Add the bell peppers, cook for 5 more minutes, add the cheese, and remove. Cool the preparation.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the dough and cut a circle with a diameter of 35 cm. With the help of a knife, form an asterisk in the center of the circle, being careful not to reach the edges of the dough. Around this, arrange the filling, fold the tips of the asterisk towards the edge of the circle to close the ring.
  • Place the ring on a baking sheet and brush with beaten egg. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden. Remove.
  • Serve with pico de gallo and guacamole in the center.
