Pasta and Cheese Cake

This pasta and cheese cake is our version of mac and cheese. The cheese gratin will delight you; it has more than usual, which gives it a special consistency that you will love.

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cups onion, chopped
  • 1 cup tomato, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons serrano chile
  • 1 cup tuna in oil
  • 2 cups elbow pasta, cooked and drained
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • pepper
  • 1 package cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped

  • Preheat the oven to 190° C.
  • Add oil to a pan and incorporate the onion, tomato, serrano chili, tuna, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the cooked and hot pasta to a bowl. Incorporate the cream cheese and mix thoroughly.
  • Add salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix very well.
  • Add the cheddar cheese and mix.
  • Incorporate the parmesan cheese and finish mixing.
  • In a 30 cm springform pan, layer elbow macaroni and a layer with the tuna mixture, finishing with a layer of elbow macaroni and a bit of cheddar cheese. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven. Take off the springform and sprinkle with parsley.
