Meat Paella

The paella is a classic of Spanish cuisine that everyone should try at least once, as it combines rice with seafood and spices, resulting in a unique and flavorful dish.   • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup Spanish chorizo, in slices
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 cup tomato, in small cubes
  • 1 cup pork, in medium cubes
  • 1 cup chicken breast, in medium cubes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 4 cups precooked rice
  • 4 cups chicken broth, hot
  • 2 tablespoons saffron
  • 1 tablespoon Paella seasoning
  • 1 cup smoked sausage
  • 1 cup green beans, frozen
  • 1 cup asparagus, in halves
  • red bell pepper, roast, in strips
  • parsley, finely chopped, for garnish

  • Heat the olive oil in a paella pan over medium heat. Add the chorizo and fry for 5 minutes or until golden. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same paella pan, add the onion, garlic, and tomato and cook for 2 minutes. When the ingredients are lightly browned, add the pork and chicken. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 5 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix the chicken broth with the saffron and paella seasoning. Set aside.
  • Add the rice and broth to the paella pan and mix with the sausages, chorizo, green beans, and asparagus. Cover with aluminum foil and cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
  • Serve the meat paella and garnish with red bell pepper and parsley.
