Stuffed Pizza in Tomato Sauce

Pizza is our favorite, try this different and fun version, with a presentation that the little ones in the house will love. Dare to prepare it and enjoy its spectacular flavor!

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 7 grams dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • water
  • flour , for rolling out
  • 1 cup Del Fuerte® seasoned tomato sauce
  • 1 cup pepperoni
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
  • olive oil , for brushing

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • For the dough, in a bowl add the flour, olive oil, salt, sugar, yeast, and oregano. Gradually add water until you achieve a homogeneous dough.
  • Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let it rest until it doubles in size.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough with a rolling pin until you obtain a rectangle of 15x30 cm. Cut diagonal strips from the outside towards the center without reaching the center completely.
  • Spread the Del Fuerte® Seasoned Tomato Purée in the center of the dough, add the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. Close by interlacing the strips one by one to form a braid.
  • Place on a baking tray and brush with olive oil. Let it ferment for 15 minutes.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes or until the dough is cooked. Remove from the oven, cut, and enjoy.
