Sweet and Sour Chicken and Broccoli Stir-Fry

If you are a fan of oriental food, you must try this sweet and sour stir-fry with juicy chicken and crunchy walnuts and dried fruits from Granut Mix® Nutri Mix, broccoli, bell pepper, and white rice. A delicious and quick complete meal to prepare.

  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1/4 cups ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons chile flakes
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cups chicken breast, in medium cubes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 cup Granut Mix® Nutri Mix
  • 1 cup broccoli, cut into small florets
  • 3/4 cups red bell pepper, in medium cubes
  • white rice, cooked oriental rice, to accompany
  • sesame seeds, for garnish
  • green onions, green onion tops, for garnish

  • For the sweet and sour sauce, in a small pot over medium heat, cook the pineapple juice, sugar, white vinegar, ketchup, soy sauce, dissolve the cornstarch, and add the chili flakes for 10 minutes, or until it thickens slightly. Set aside.
  • Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat and cook the chicken for 5 minutes, season with salt and pepper. Add Granut Mix® Nutri Mix, broccoli, red bell pepper, the sweet and sour sauce, and cook for 10 minutes, or until the chicken and broccoli are cooked.
  • Serve on a slightly deep plate over a bed of white rice. Garnish with white sesame seeds and green onion tops. Enjoy.
