  • 2 Jalapeño chiles, red
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cloves
  • 3 black peppercorns
  • salt
  • 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • lard
  • 12 taco-sized tortillas
  • 2 cups skirt steak, cooked and shredded
  • onion, finely chopped

  • Roast the jalapeño peppers, onion, garlic clove, cinnamon, cloves, and pepper until all ingredients are well charred.
  • Blend the previous ingredients with salt and chicken broth. Fry the sauce in a pot with a bit of lard for 3 minutes. Set aside.
  • Fry the tortillas one by one in a skillet with lard until they are lightly golden, drain, and place on a platter.
  • Soak the tortillas in the sauce and add the shredded meat and onion.
