  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chile powder
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

  • 1 cauliflower, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 cup red cabbage, cut into thin strips, for the salad
  • 1 cup carrot, cut into strips, for the salad
  • 1/4 cups mayonnaise, for the salad
  • 1 tablespoon chipotle chile powder, for the salad
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar, for the salad
  • 1 pinch salt

  • For the breaded cauliflower: In a bowl, beat egg and mix with paprika, garlic powder, pepper, chile powder, lime, and salt. Marinate cauliflower in previous preparation for 10 minutes. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, mix flour, breadcrumbs, and cornstarch. Coat cauliflower.
  • Heat a small pot with oil. Fry coated cauliflower. Remove excess oil with paper towels.
  • For the salad: In a bowl, mix purple cabbage, carrot, mayonnaise, chipotle chile, and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • On a plate, place a warm tortilla and add breaded cauliflower. Serve breaded cauliflower tacos with salad and cilantro.
