This is a recipe that can be used with penne, rigatoni, spaghetti, or fettuccine, perfect and delicious, with accompaniments of shrimp, chicken, and bacon.!
Cook the pasta in boiling salted water and leave it al dente (not overcooked).
In a skillet, fry the shrimp and chicken pieces with butter, a little oil, and season with garlic salt and pepper. Once cooked, chop the onion and green pepper into large pieces and cook until well done.
Drain the pasta and rinse it with cold water. Transfer it to a large skillet with butter and a little oil. Break half of the Philadelphia cheese and add it to the pasta, plus the milk. As the cheese melts, gradually add the chicken broth, garlic, pepper, and Parmesan cheese to taste. If it’s too thick, add more milk.
Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly with an up-and-down motion without stirring the pasta. If necessary, add the other half of the Philadelphia cheese, more milk, and more butter.
Almost at the end of the cream cooking with the pasta, add the chicken with the shrimp, the pepper, and the onion, and give a few final turns with the spoon to cover the chicken.
Remove from heat and serve. The perfect accompaniment is red wine, mashed potatoes, and garlic bread.
