Baked Macaroni

A super simple and delicious pasta option is these baked macaroni with a creamy cheese sauce and topped with a bit of cherry tomato.

  • 250 grams elbow pasta
  • 4 cherry tomatoes , cut into 4
  • 50 grams Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 250 grams yellow cheese , grated
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups cow's milk
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • nutmegs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 tablespoon parsley , chopped, for decoration

  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
  • In a skillet, melt the butter and add the flour until well combined.
  • Gradually add the milk and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  • Add the cheese and stir until it has a creamy consistency.
  • Divide the pasta into two small baking dishes, place the cheese sauce on top, 8 pieces of tomatoes in each, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, and parsley.
  • Bake at 180°C until golden.
