Fusilli Marinara with Seafood

  • 1 package Barilla Fusilli®, 500 g
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 1/4 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 250 grams shrimp, clean
  • 250 grams clams
  • 100 grams squid, in rings
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 cups tomato, blanched, shelled, diced
  • 4 basil
  • 1/4 teaspoons oregano
  • 1/2 cups white wine
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/4 cups parsley, finely chopped, for garnish
  • 1 lemon, sliced, for garnish
  • 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated, for garnish

  • Heat enough water in a pot over medium-high heat, and once it boils, add salt. Wait for it to boil again and add Barilla Fusilli®. Cook according to the package instructions, approximately 8 minutes. Remove the pasta from the heat, drain, and set aside.
  • Pour oil into a pan over medium heat and sauté the onion. Once it is transparent, add the shrimp, clam, squid, and cook for about 8 minutes, then remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add a bit of oil and butter, fry the garlic, and once golden, add the chopped tomato along with the basil, oregano, and white wine. Then season with salt and pepper. Once boiling and after it has reduced a bit, add the pasta along with the seafood and cook for a couple more minutes. Remember that your sauce should be thick.
  • Serve the marinara fusilli with seafood on a slightly deep plate, arrange the seafood nicely, and garnish with parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
