Cook the pasta in enough water until al dente (about 10 minutes)
In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat with the garlic and onion until translucent
Pour in the tomato puree and continue cooking over low heat. Remove the garlic and onion. Add salt, pepper, chicken broth, and the pasta, mixing until well combined.
Pour the pasta into a baking dish and sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the pasta. Bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese is gratinated.
