With this recipe, you can prepare delicious dishes that use puff pastry, from an apple strudel, a ham and cheese roll, or a brie cheese wrapped in puff pastry.
In the food processor, place the flour, salt, and butter in pieces. Process for 5 seconds. Add the ice-cold water and pulse 5 times until the mixture has a sandy texture and the butter is in small pieces.
Form a ball with the dough and place it in the refrigerator in a plastic bag for 1 hour.
Once the hour has passed, take out the dough and roll it out on a flat, floured surface until it forms a rectangle.
Sprinkle a little flour and fold the edges of the rectangle to the center, then roll it out again with a rolling pin. Repeat this step 5 times. (These are the same folds that cause it to puff up and separate the layers when baked.)
