Spaghetti with Pesto and Shrimp

This delicious basil pesto pasta recipe with pine nuts tastes great when served with shrimp.

  • fusilli pasta, o spaghetti
  • 240 grams basil
  • 240 grams Parmesan cheese
  • 40 grams toasted pine nut
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 400 milliliters olive oil

  • In a blender or food processor, combine the basil (washed and dried), toasted pine nuts (be careful as they can burn easily), parmesan cheese, garlic cloves, and a splash of oil.
  • With the blender or processor running, add the rest of the oil until it thickens.
  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, reserving a little of the cooking water.
  • Mix the pasta with the pesto sauce to taste and sprinkle generously with parmesan cheese.
