Baked Spaghetti with Meatballs

  • 1 package La Moderna® spaghetti, 450 g
  • 500 grams ground meat
  • 1/4 cups basil, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • salt

  • 1/4 cups onion
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 cups tomato sauce
  • 6 basil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cups Gouda cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cups Parmesan cheese, grated

  • Boil enough water in a pot, add salt, and bring it to a boil again. Then, add La Moderna® Spaghetti and cook for 8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Mix the ground beef, basil, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and egg in a bowl until everything is well combined. Form medium-sized meatballs and set aside.
  • Heat a little olive oil in a cast-iron skillet. Cook the meatballs for 3 minutes on each side to seal them. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Pour a little more olive oil into the same skillet and sauté the onion and garlic for 3 minutes. Add the tomato sauce, basil, and beef broth, and cook for 5 more minutes.
  • Add the boiled La Moderna® Spaghetti and the meatballs, sprinkle with gouda cheese and Parmesan cheese, and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Serve the pasta in the skillet, garnish with basil leaves, and accompany with slices of bread.
