Pasta with Peppers

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • aromatic herbs, to cook the pasta
  • 1 package spaghetti, whole wheat La Moderna 200 g
  • 2 green bell peppers, medium
  • 4 sprigs fresh cilantro
  • 2 cuaresmeño chiles
  • 75 grams reduced-fat cream cheese
  • 200 grams sour cream , light
  • 3/4 cups lactose-free milk, or light
  • 1 pinch garlic salt
  • Parmesan cheese

  • Place 1 liter of water, the tablespoon of olive oil, and some herbs in a pot; when the water starts to boil, add the package of La Moderna whole wheat spaghetti, waiting 8 to 10 minutes. The pasta should be cooked, then turn off the stove.
  • Drain the La Moderna pasta in a large colander, removing any remnants of herbs that may have integrated. Turn on the cold water faucet and rinse the pasta quickly. This last action should be very quick and brief.
  • In the blender jar, add the peppers, which should be cut into 4 pieces for easier blending, the cilantro, the cuaresmeño peppers, the cream cheese, the cream, and the milk. Blend until all ingredients are perfectly integrated. Note: Remember to wash and disinfect the vegetables very well.
  • In a skillet, add a tablespoon of olive oil; when it has heated, add the obtained sauce, adding garlic salt or natural salt to taste. I suggest combining both, as it will give more flavor to our sauce. Wait for it to come to a boil, then add our La Moderna whole wheat spaghetti.
  • Once our La Moderna whole wheat spaghetti is integrated, stir with the sauce, being careful not to overmix it; it’s just a matter of combining both. Let it season for another 5 minutes and turn off the heat. It is important to maintain a medium heat or lower it if necessary at this point.
