Pasta with Shrimp in Spicy Lemon Sauce

I feel that the combination of shrimp with lemon is perfect, although I also like the pasta without shrimp and just with lemon.

  • 1/2 kilos pasta , La Moderna® (the one of your choice)
  • 1/2 kilos shrimp
  • 5 lemons, (the juice)
  • 2 lemons, (the zest)
  • 1/2 cups olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons red chili flake, (peperoncino)
  • 3 tablespoons Tabasco sauce
  • Parmesan cheese, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chicken consommé, or shrimp seasoning

  • Bring 2 liters of salted water with a splash of oil to a boil to cook the pasta.
  • Fry the garlic and onion in 1/2 cup of olive oil.
  • Add the chili flakes to the garlic and onion to taste.
  • Add 2 or 3 tablespoons of Tabasco sauce to taste.
  • Add the shrimp and lemon juice along with the lemon zest to the sauce.
  • Cook the pasta until al dente, meaning the center of the pasta is white (not completely cooked).
  • Drain the pasta, add the sauce, and mix well.
  • Garnish with lemon slices or wedges.
  • Serve with grated Parmesan cheese, to taste.
