Spaghetti in Walnut Sauce

It may be a well-known recipe, but there are countless variations that can give us ideas, allowing us to create different dishes or simply vary those we already know.

  • Put a pot of water to boil; before the water starts boiling, we should add a small piece of onion, a splash of olive oil, and salt. Once the water boils, we should add the spaghetti. Cook for 9 to 11 minutes. Remove, drain, and cool the pasta. Set aside.
  • Finely chop the onion and the two cloves of garlic (if they are not chopped). Place a pan on the stove, add a splash of olive oil, add the onion and garlic, and stir constantly until the onion and garlic are almost transparent.
  • Once the onion and garlic have changed color, add the mushrooms and walnuts, and let cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add cream and the watercress (only the leaves).
  • Once we have all the ingredients in the pan, season with salt and pepper to taste and let cook for another 2 minutes without the cream boiling, stirring constantly.
