Spaghetti with Tuna in Caper Sauce

This recipe came about on a day when I didn't know what to cook and wanted to impress my daughters with a delicious meal, and I succeeded! They ate everything and asked for more. It's my favorite recipe because I'll never forget their happy faces.

  • 400 grams spaghetti
  • 2 cans canned tuna in water
  • 1 jar capers
  • 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 2 tomatoes, medium
  • 1 onion, medium
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cups tomato sauce
  • salt , to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • oregano , to taste

  • Boil the pasta in salted boiling water. Cook it until al dente; do not overcook.
  • In a medium pot, add a little butter and sauté the chopped tomato and onion, and finally add the bell pepper cut into small cubes. When they are soft, add the tomato sauce with a little water to make it lighter.
  • When it comes to a boil, add the tuna, capers, and season with salt, pepper, and oregano to taste. Once everything is well combined and cooked, add the spaghetti, tossing gently to avoid breaking it.
