Cabbage and Carrot Salad Side Dish

This cabbage and carrot salad recipe is an excellent side dish to accompany meals like fried chicken, battered fish, or beef milanesa. This cabbage salad is not only easy to make but also delicious, and you can choose between mayonnaise or sour cream to give it your preferred touch.

  • 2 cups white cabbage, grated
  • 2 cups carrot
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoons sugar

  • Using a cheese grater, grate the white cabbage and be sure to drain the natural juice that comes out while doing this. Repeat this process with the carrot.
  • In a bowl, mix the cabbage with the carrot, onion, plain yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice, white vinegar, and sugar. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve as a side dish for fried chicken.
