Fruit Salad in Melon Bunny

This idea of cutting a melon into the shape of a bunny is very clever and ideal for an Easter breakfast. The kids will go crazy for it!

  • 1 melon, large and oval-shaped
  • 1/2 watermelons, cut into cubes or balls
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup strawberries, cut 1 cup strawberries, cut

  • Draw a horizontal line halfway across the melon with a pen without going all the way around (that will be the head). Draw the bunny's head at the front and the two long ears.
  • With a very sharp knife, cut around the pen marks.
  • Using a melon baller (or a knife), remove all the flesh from the melon. You can use this melon for your fruit salad.
  • Cut the watermelon into cubes or balls. Cut the strawberries into quarters.
  • Fill the bunny bowl with all the fruit and use toothpicks to insert 2 blueberries for the eyes, a watermelon ball for the nose, and form whiskers with very thin strips of carrot.
