Creamy Salad of Cucumber, Chayote, Cabbage, Ham and Celery

This fresh salad recipe with cucumber, chayotes, and ham is ideal for adding more vegetables to your meals. In addition, with it you can take advantage of the vegetables you have at home and those that are in season. You can make the combinations that you like the most and thus avoid wasting food or forgetting those vegetables in the bottom of your refrigerator. Don't forget to add the finishing touch with the cilantro.

  • 1 cup cucumber, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup chayote, cooked and diced
  • 1/2 cups celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups ear corn, yellow
  • 1 cup cabbage, thinly slice
  • 1 cup deli ham, diced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup queso fresco, cut into cubes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • fresh cilantro, leaves to decorate

  • In a bowl, mix the cucumber, chayote, celery, yellow corn, cabbage, and ham. Then add the mayonnaise, cream and cheese. Season with salt and pepper, and add the cilantro; mix until completely incorporated.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves. Enjoy!
