1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 chayote, peeled and cut into strips 1 centimeter thick
1/2 tablespoons table salt
ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoons sugar, white
1/4 teaspoons árbol chile, crushed
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
When the oil is hot, add the chayote and season with salt, pepper, sugar, and dried chili.
Stir and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add the vinegar to the mixture and cook for 2 to 3 more minutes, until the chayote looks slightly wilted, but is still firm.
Adjust the seasoning, and if necessary, add more salt or sugar.
