Warm Red Cabbage and Bacon Salad

It is a very simple recipe, easy to prepare and delicious to accompany the holiday plate, paired with a good portion of turkey. Make it, you will love it!

  • 1 red cabbage, whole
  • 500 grams bacon
  • 1/2 cups honey, 4 tablespoons of ground panela

  • Remove the cabbage leaves, wash them, and then cut them into thin strips. The bacon should also be cut into small rectangles (make short pieces).
  • Fry the bacon without oil, just in the hot pan, as the bacon releases fat; we prepare all this over low heat.
  • When the bacon fat starts to render, add the cabbage and begin to mix.
  • When the bacon and cabbage are mixed, add honey or the 4 tablespoons of ground panela (whichever you prefer). Begin to mix, and when the cabbage is soft (cooked), it means it's ready!!
  • Serve, as it is preferable to eat it hot.
