Guacamole with Habanero

Guacamole is one of the favorites for snacking. Enjoy this very simple recipe with a touch of habanero chili and pickled onion. This habanero guacamole recipe is an excellent option for watching your soccer matches or to accompany cochinita pibil.

  • 1/4 onions
  • 1 clove garlic, without skin
  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt
  • 1/4 cups lime juice, without seeds
  • 6 avocados, only the pulp, ripe
  • 1/2 bunches cilantro, chopped
  • 2 Habanero chiles, in slices
  • 1/2 cups red onion, pickled

  • Prepare the base of your guacamole. In a molcajete, grind the onion together with the garlic, coarse salt, and lime juice until you obtain a puree. Add the avocado pulp and mix. Finally, add the chopped cilantro and stir with a spoon.
  • Add the habanero chili and mix it with your guacamole base. Add pickled onion to taste. Serve with snacks like onion rings, potato chips, and golden taquitos.
