Molcajete Green Sauce

Mexican sauce made with a stone molcajete, it is a traditional recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation in my family. The molcajete gives the sauce a very special flavor, making it delicious.

  • Roast the tomatoes and chiles until they are cooked.
  • Remove the seeds from the chiles.
  • You grind the onion and garlic in the molcajete by crushing them with the tejolote.
  • Start grinding the tomatoes and chiles one by one.
  • Finally, grind the cilantro and add salt.
