Traditional Mushroom Sauce

Try this delicious super creamy mushroom sauce that is packed with flavor; it's ideal for stuffed chicken breasts or a pot roast, give it a try with your favorite dish!

  • 4 cups butter
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups button mushrooms, in thin slices
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cups sour cream
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tablespoons dill
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1/4 cups Parmesan cheese

  • Heat the butter in a pot and cook the garlic and onion for 2 minutes. Add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the heavy cream, sour cream, and let it reduce for 2 minutes.
  • Season with dill, salt, pepper, parsley, and parmesan cheese. Set aside.
  • Serve the mushroom sauce over some chicken breasts and enjoy.
