All-in-One Rice

It is a simple recipe that is liked by adults and especially children since everything is finely chopped and can be served alone or with accompaniments.

  • 3 cups white rice
  • 2 beefsteaks
  • 2 chicken meat for milanesa , boneless
  • 2 smoked pork chops, or pork
  • 1 pimentón, red
  • 2 bell peppers, (sweet peppers)
  • 1 onion, large
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 2 bunches chives
  • 1 stem leek
  • 5 sprigs parsley
  • 1 can corn, golden
  • salt , cumin and seasoning to taste
  • fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish
  • yellow food coloring, to taste

  • Wash the rice very well and set aside. Chop the chicken, pork chops, and steak into small cubes. Finely chop all the vegetables, such as bell pepper, onion, etc.
  • In a skillet, sauté all the seasonings along with the chopped meats, adding cumin and seasoning.
  • In a large pot or cauldron, cook 3 cups of rice with 5 and a half cups of water and salt. When it starts to boil, add all the sautéed ingredients and the drained corn, stir a bit, and let it cook on medium heat. When it starts to dry, reduce to low heat and cover. Check until the rice is tender.
  • To serve, garnish with chopped cilantro; it can be accompanied by French fries or bread slices.
