Chard Rolls

Chard rolls stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon, a very simple delicacy to prepare. They are perfect to accompany with some white rice or to eat as a side dish with any meat, chicken, or fish dish.

  • 500 grams chard
  • 500 grams bacon
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato , sliced
  • 500 grams Chihuahua cheese, cut into thick strips
  • salt and pepper

  • In a container with hot water, place the chard leaves without stems until they are soft. Drain them and, using a leaf, form a small taco filled with one or two strips of cheese.
  • Wrap each taco with a strip of bacon.
  • In a skillet, add a layer of onion and tomato, then the rolls, season with salt and pepper to taste, and top with another layer of tomato and onion. Let it cook on low heat.
