Chayote Puree

Delicious chayote puree to introduce babies to vegetables. It is very easy to make at home.

  • 1 chayote

  • Wash and peel the chayote with a sharp knife. Cut into slices.
  • Steam the chayote with previously filtered or boiled water for 15 minutes.
  • Make a puree of the cooked chayote by adding 1 tablespoon of the water used to cook the chayote.
  • Store in glass containers and serve a little at a time on the baby's plate, so if they don't finish it, it can be saved and used the next day.
