Crab and Red Pepper Bites

  • 1 package Philadelphia® cream cheese, (3 oz / 85 g) softened to room temperature
  • 1 box Greek yogurt, fat-free natural Yoplait®
  • 1/4 cups basil, fresh, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons green onion, (green onions) finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lime peels, grated
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 1/8 teaspoons ground red pepper, (cayenne)
  • 1 cup surimi, frozen imitation crab meat, thawed, chopped salad-style
  • 2 red bell peppers, large
  • fresh basil leaves, fresh chopped, optional

  • In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer on low speed until creamy. Add the yogurt until well blended. Stir in 1/4 cup of chopped basil, the green onions, lemon zest and juice, ground red pepper, and crab meat.
  • Cut each pepper into 15 squares (1¼ inches or 3 cm). Place a heaping teaspoon of crab mixture on each pepper square. Garnish with basil leaves.
