Fork Mashed Potato

The classic way to make mashed potatoes in France. It is a very simple recipe and has the peculiarity that the potatoes are mashed with a fork, hence the name of this traditional French dish.

  • 1 kilo potato
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 150 grams unsalted butter

  • Cook the potato in salted water until it is soft (approximately 60 minutes).
  • Drain and vigorously mash the potato with a fork.
  • Boil the cream with salt and pepper and add to the potato.
  • Mix and heat.
  • Finish by adding the butter and mixing.
