Heart-Shaped French Fries

  • 1 liter olive oil
  • 1 kilo potato
  • salt
  • 1/2 cups thyme

  • Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thick slices.
  • Soak them in cold water for half an hour. Afterward, dry them well with a clean cloth.
  • Using a heart-shaped mold, cut out as many hearts as you can from the potatoes.
  • Pour the olive oil into a pot and let it heat up.
  • Add the potatoes gradually to the hot oil and fry them until they are golden brown.
  • Place the fried potatoes in a strainer and sprinkle them with salt and thyme.
